北朝鮮は日本時間5日早朝、テポドンを含む6発のミサイルを発射したという。日本政府は同日中に経済制裁を発動し、安保理の開催を要請したという。具体的には、学生を使って北朝鮮へ資金を運んでいるという万景峰号の入港を半年間停止し、北朝鮮への送金を停止するという。

North Korea launched 6 missiles and one is believed to be the long range Taepodong missile. Taepodong missile exploded (disintegrated) in the middle course and along with other Scud and Nodong missiles landed in the Sea of Japan and two missiles landed in Russian territorial waters.

This day, total 7 missiles were launched. One is Taepodong which can reach the States, three Nodong missiles Japan, and the other three South Korea. The reports on the number and the types of the short range missiles vary. The GlobalSecurity reports that the ICBM can reach 8000 to 12000 kilometers. The Taepodong-2 missile was a failed launch and another launch is believed to be ready. North Korea has improved the Scud missile to go more than 500 km.

North Korea violated the 1999 and 2992 agreement on ballistic missile bans. The North government has never kept its promises. Be it the nuclear deal, or the missile bans. They sold any aids to get whatever is needed to have missiles and warheads.

韓国は、来週に予定されていた竹島への調査船を、急遽テポドンの発射された5日に派遣したという。日本政府は領海侵犯として抗議するという。
