The President Bush and the Japanese prime minister Fukuda met on Friday and reportedly discussed such agenda as North Korea, and the oil supply to ships in Indian ocean among other economic and environmental issues.
They say here in Japan that the Democrats are the biggest supporter of the Kim Jeong Il regime and that the North and the US are having talks over our heads ever since the last election in the US. The opinion seems to be based upon the fact that the previous Clinton administration did not let us know us about the nuclear development plans in North Korea even though they knew the fact at that time. Another fact is that the administration did tell us that the missile that went over Japan was not a missile but a satellite.
There is nothing positive about sending oil to North when nothing has changed ever since. 200,000 political prisoners are still detained and forced to build hotels for the foreigners and to work for the regime. The abductees are still there in North Korea and the North's Kim Jeong Il government refused to give information on them. The media is restricted in North Korea -- the only state TV in North Korea is physically wired. They get sentences watching foreign media. Even short wave radio from Japan to abductees are disturbed by electro-magnetic waves. North Korea has exported missiles to Syria and evidences suggest that North Korea is cooperating with Syria in building its nuclear facilities. The North has promised once again to quit nuclear development -- when their nuclear plants are not even connected to power lines that would carry electricity to towns. They produced plutonium for nuclear bombs in those plants and they underwent a nuclear test last year.
