フランスが大国であることに間違いはないが、そのことが、今現在、エンタメがハリウッドに傾斜していること、そして人々の意識が硬直化していること、つまり均一化社会・既得権社会の弊害が顕著であること、そのことに歯止めがかかるわけではない。
な ぜならば均一化された「大衆」には、個人の概念はない。極めて個人的な問題に、「社会のため」に倫理を強制す るのは、いわば宗教である。ことに、「外国の文化」に対する、価値観の多様性に関する無理解は顕著である。手っ取り早くいえば、典型的な理想像が、ごくつ まらない、醜いものだという意識がありうると いう認識がない。つまり客観性がない、大人の認識がない。
なりゆきでしか生きていない人間 には、何かを人生で決定した、という意識がない。住む場所から、職業、仕事からサービス、そして価値観にいたるまで、個人としての意識がない。想像力の欠 如は、客観をもたらさない。精神的な論理性をもたないために、親や知人と同じ家族形態を持つことが、彼らの精神構造を支えている。
文化の停滞は、保守化は、個人の自由を奪う、ということがいえる。

The supermarkets, the DVD/CD, etc, -- there is not much left that reminds me of anything related to what they have created at the turn of the last century. You can get the whole series of Disney films and even Ghibri ones. What of Dragon Ball and such? Biwitched? Love Boat? Dallas? Captain Tsubasa?! What exactly do they see in those foreign films? The vitality? Diligence? The virtue of teamwork? What of intelligence and work ethics? What are those films without them?
In that sense, the reality is far more than what they show us in those dramas. Beauty is not the products of machine-made picturesque scenery that satisfy some ready-made standards. Human activity and the freedom, the expression of it itself is what we regard as an art, that we long for.
