It is rather dissappointing that Australian government and even the US are not speaking up against the way whaling is managed in Japan. The all media news on whaling I get here are those of Iceland with English narrations. I am not asking people to get impolite, but it certainly hinders most of Japanese people from knowing the truth.

The fact that the Japanese government is providing our tax money to whale industry and to aids, should not lower the images of ordinary Japanese who in one poll are mostly against whaling. They are selling the whale meat to schools for mandatory school meals. The same applies to Australians whose government is not showing any signs of anxiety over the whaling boat floating in the Antarctic.

The US should come forward to rescue New Zealand allies.

Who are those right wing nationalists who try to force whale hunting?

People are beginning to turn more ciritical eyes on those right wings, and not only as harmless extremists, who drives around with conspicuous decorations on their cars and annoy pedestrians by their military march.

Yesterday, 11 of right wing group members were arrested on charges of forcing companies and individuals to buy books on how Japanese discriminated certain groups of people, how Japan can defend itself, how Japanese government hold a tight grip on its territories, and so on, totaling more than ten million dollars. Those right wing groups are called "commercial right wings" for their aggressive sales tactics. Those groups typically visit each company and individual one by one asking to pay for those books and threaten to do various harassment otherwise.

Japanese whaling ship afire off Antarctic coast

気になる火災にあった南極海の捕鯨船のことですが、船は世界最大のアデリーペンギンの集落の付近にあるそうです。

日新丸は、以前にも火災がおきているんですね。

積んでいる重油と燃料油で、環境を汚染する前に移動してくれという要請があるわけですが、グリーンピースが救援を申し出ているわけです。

管轄しているのは日本鯨類研究所で、グリーンピースからの要請はなかったと海外メディアに発表しているようです。

漁業への税金と、捕鯨票を買うための税金。さらに捕鯨関連ポストのための税金。

税金を捕鯨に無駄にするべきではなく、国民は「やくざまがいの」自民党の手先ではないわけです。

税金を節約するほうが、増税するより簡単、なはずですね。

捕鯨で、反西欧をうたい文句に、税金を天下り機関と「援助」にばらまくと、日本と現地の経済を混乱させ、国際的信用を下げます。

What are those pro-whaling countries?

The Japanese government is accused of spending -- indeed our tax money -- to buy votes from countries for whaling. The total sum amounts to hundreds of millions of dollars. What is disgusting is, that they -- the govuernment officials -- claim that it is a "cheap" investment. According to polls taken from those countries, in 9 out of 11 countries the people voted for anti-whaling.

Now, anti-whaling coutries are holding a meeting in NY in April -- a slight hope for improvement.

Now this dangerous whaling in Antarctica killed a Japanese fisherman. The whaling boat caught fire -- it now is waiting to be removed from the area for fear the oil from the boat -- 132000 gallons of heavy oil and 211000 gallons of furnace oil -- might contaminate the sea.

Officially, the Institute of Cetacean Research (ICR) controls Japanese whaling there in Antarctica. These semi-official "institutes" play special roles in the Japanese society that suck up all of our tax money for nothing. This one in particular pays up more than a hundred thousand yen a year for its managers, all titled and come from media, ministries, and universities, or even from other "institutes".

The systematic transfer of power from media-ministries-universities cartel to those institutes can alter the newspaper articles, the way they show how whaling is done, and the scientific data from universities. There are more than 26000 of those institutes and those managers get more than a million dollars upon retirement.

Why don't the Japanese government quit hunting, let alone selling those whale meat?

The rumor says that gangs are involved and it certainly is the reason why the media is broadcasting the traditional aspects of whaling. Those gangs -- right wing extremists -- gether up in those demos held by the anti-whaling groups. The fact is, major commercial whaling started only after the WWII, under the command of GHQ after it stopped hunting in 1940 in the States. GHQ decided to use whale meat for an important source of protein for hungry Japanese and it indeed has been so during 60's and 70's.

And I say, whenever politicians says the timing was wrong, you've got to be very careful. And that anti-whaling supporters do not seem like understand what is going on in East Asia and behaving exactly like they did in 1994 deal, should not be the reason why a Japanese citizen should be threatened not to say to stop whaling. North Korea was developing making atomic weapons during the transactions was on and they already had it when the deal was made.

Maybe I should add that Iceland and Norway is selling whale meat to Japanese along with the right wing protest over the way those anti-whaling groups stopped short of accusing Iceland and Norway. Iceland whalers threatened the Japanese to buy up their whales -- eight of them -- or they stop hunting and that pro-whaling would lose one precious vote from Europe.

The gangs "bou-ryoku-dan" cast dark shadow over every aspects of Japanese political life. The member of those gangs like "yamaguchi-gumi" are indeed already registered and listed in the police's black list. They are formal existence and the members have name cards with their address and phone numbers on. The police has 84700 people listed last year, and half of violent crimes in Japan is related to those members of the gangs. Around 40% of cases of money laundering is gang related.
